When trying out new recipe smoothie try this green monster smoothie
Our mixologists stumbled upon a kale and pear smoothie with greens for an extra punch. There are countless advantages for blending and if you're just starting out we highly reccomend you get a good blender to do the job right.
Two great options are the Vitamix or a Blendtec because they are commercial grade home smoothie machines. You will enjoy smoothies much more with a great blender. You can also find the variations that blend in a small smoothie sized cup for make and go blending.
Green Monster Health Smoothie:
• 4 ounces of water
• 1 banana fresh or frozen
• 1 cup of green grapes
• Half of a pear
• 1 orange peeled
• 1 cup of organic super greens or kale
• Half of an avocado
• 1 ½ scoops of vanilla protein powder of your choice
• 1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds
• 2 cups of ice
If you have a Blendtec machine just put the ingredients in the container and hit the smoothie button.
In less than a minute you have a delicious healthy drink. If you drink it you might just transform into the hulk while hitting the weights (or at least feel like you are).
Health smoothies are a great way to add essential nutrients in a way that is easy for your body to absorb. You can stick with fruits and veggies or you can add milk, oats, protein powder, yogurt, wheat germ, peanut butter or a long list of other healthy ingredients.
